Creating a Microsoft Teams Channel

To send alerts from Anodot to an MS Team:

1. In MS Teams

a/ Choose the relevant channel within MS Teams
b/ Create an incoming webhook integration
c/ Copy the URL to be used for this channel

2. In Anodot

a/ Create a new MS Teams channel
b/ Use the MS Teams webhook URL you have copied from MS Teams
c/ Set the channel as recipient of alerts

At the time of an event trigger:

  • A webhook is sent by Anodot to the defined URL
  • Webhook is received within MS Teams and processing continues

DEFINING AN INSTANCE IN ANODOT

  1. Open Anodot.
  2. Open the New MS Teams Instance dialog box from the main Anodot navigation bar, choose:
  • Either Management > Channels  > New > MS Teams Instance
  • Or Management > Alert Management. In the All Alerts window:

3. i. To add an MS Teams instance to a new alert:

a/ Click New.
b/ In the New Alert/ Recipients panel, choose:

- Channels > Microsoft Teams
- Instance > Add MS Teams Instance

ii. To edit an alert and add an MS Teams instance:

a/ Choose the alert
b/ Click Edit
c/ In the Edit [alert] > Recipients panel, choose:

- Channels > Microsoft Teams
- Instance > Add MS Teams Instance

4. In the New MS Teams Instance dialog box:

i.  Type an Anodot Channel name
ii.  Copy the MS Teams webhook URL
iii. Choose a Time Zone. The Alert information will be displayed according to this time zone.

5. Test the Instance.
