Updating Source Credentials for Existing Sources

This article describes the two ways (depending on the data source) in which you can update the data source credentials. 

  • Applicable to all data sources: 
    1. Create a new source with the new credentials.
    2. Divert existing streams to the new source using the divert API calls.
  • Applicable to the Snowflake data source only:
    Use the "user-key" credentials when creating a Snowflake data source (see Snowflake). This enables you to use an API to "update the key" without the need to create a new source.
